📖 The story

A giant soldier called Goliath shouted mean things about God's people, and everyone was too scared to fight him. David was just a young shepherd, but he trusted God. With a sling and one smooth stone, David beat the giant, and everyone saw how strong God is!

David was the youngest of eight brothers.
He protected his sheep from a lion and a bear.
He picked five smooth stones from a stream.
David later became king of Israel and wrote many of the songs in Psalms.
