🎄 The Saviour Is Born
Luke 1–2, Matthew 1 · Jesus came because God loves us.
📖 The story
An angel told Mary she would have a very special baby: God's own Son. Joseph had a dream telling him not to be afraid. Mary and Joseph made a long trip to Bethlehem, but there was no room anywhere, so baby Jesus was born and laid in a manger. The Saviour had come!
🤩 Fun facts
- The angel who visited Mary was called Gabriel.
- Nazareth to Bethlehem is more than 100 km. That's a long walk!
- The Bible doesn't actually say Mary rode a donkey!
- The first visitors were shepherds, after angels told them the good news.
"Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
